A typical day...

Hi folks!

I thought it would be a good idea to show you guys a typical day of my meal plan in action! Although some of the things I've had weren't mentioned in the meal plan in a previous post, they will be mentioned in meal plans in upcoming posts. So here goes....

For breakfast I had a small bowl of Greek yogurt with blueberries. I love this for breakfast as its quite light but keeps me going through till lunch!

My 'mid morning snack' was a cup of peppermint tea along with a handful of almonds (not shown). Peppermint tea is a great preventative force against catching bugs like the common cold or even the flu! It contains lots of potassium, calcium and vitamin B. I will usually have a mug of coffee in the morning but some mornings  I prefer a nice herbal tea to help flush out any toxins.

For lunch I had chicken, spinach & houmous wraps with a side of tomato and cucumber salad. This type of lunch usually keeps me full for the period of time before dinner.

I don't know about you guys, but I like to work out before bedtime. I have a shower at night before I go to sleep because I am always too tired to have one in the morning. I also feel like it relaxes me before I nod off. Anyways, I cheated a bit with this dinner as I was planning on having quite a vigorous workout later on. I had to burgers (no bun) along with a large salad, a hard boiled egg & curly fries - woops! But it was soooo good!

I usually try to have pieces of fruit or a yoghurt during the afternoon, but I was extremely busy at work that day!

I like these kind of posts as I am such a foodie and love taking pics of my food (exciting life) ha ha! My instagram is full of pictures similar to these, follow me & ill follow back ;)

My Birthday Lunch....

On August, 13th of this year, I turned 23...

And I had the best birthday ever! Just everything about that day was wonderful. Guy and I took the day off work and had a long lie. He gave me my presents (which will be mentioned in an upcoming post titled 'Birthday haul') then we got ready and headed out for lunch. We found this truly wonderful restaurant in the West End called Stravaigin, and it served some of the best food I have ever had! Here's some pics of my lovely lunch : )

Guy had the Thai mussels, they were absolutely gorgeous! They were served in a spicy Thai broth which was similar to tom yum soup!

I love lamb, but Guy hates it so I rarely get the chance to have it! So I got the lamb shoulder with apricots, mint hummus and pea shoots....lovely.

For our mains, I had the pork belly with sweet potatoes, greens and a jus.

Guy had the confit duck leg with smoked potato disks, greens and beetroot.

We rarely have desert when we are out cause we get sooo full! But this lemon and oatmeal ice cream sounded to goo to resist! We shared it and it was beautiful.

Me&him.

Have any of you been to any really good restaurants that you want to share? Lemme' know!

My Fitness Pal

Good morning lovelies!

Sooo, this is just a quick post to tell you guys about this amazing app I downloaded to my iphone! It's called 'my fitness pal' and it helps keep track of your calorie intake. I wish I had discovered it sooner! Anyways, I don't feel like I need to shed the pounds or anything like that, but my boyfriend and I have been eating really unhealthy lately, I.e. takeaways almost 3 times a week! So this app is really just a method to enable me to keep track of my calories to make sure I am eating the right foods.

You guys HAVE to download it!

The other night Guy (my boyfriend)) made some really yummy salmon & scallops! It was delish and only 433 calories! Yum! 😋

I failed a bit last night as we had lasagne which was 500 calories a portion...woops! But it was soooo good!

If you guys have any healthy dinner ideas, please let me know!

Pretty Little Things

A couple of weeks ago I went home to visit my mum. She took me and my boyfriend out for lunch then took us to a lovely little antiques shop where we picked up a couple of things for the flat. I absolutely adore the shabby chic look just now, so the majority of our items were just that.

My dressing table was purchased out of that antique shop when we first moved in....

Out little bedside column was the perfect location for our new bird cage mirror.

This is the storm lantern we got, which was our favourite find! We placed some church pillar candles inside and it looks beautiful at night. I think some fairy lights would look gorgeous inside it at Christmas time...

What do you guys think? : )

Ps. Almost forgot to include this unique little piece...the birdcage and column were also bought from the antique shop but the little owl was purchased from the garden centre where we had lunch : )

Meet Lilly...

Hi dolls 😘

Meet Lilly...our little persian cross kitten! This was one of the first pictures we ever took of her. How cute is she?! We got her at the end of May.

I never thought that it would be hard work having a kitten, but boy it is so tricky! She is actually like a small child! She cries if she can't sleep with us and she begs for food like a dog! She is some character!

We're always looking for new treats or new tips on how to care for her, so if you have any lemme' know! 😻

Where have I been?

Good morning Love Bugs! : )

I've not posted anything on here since February due to the fact that I have been mega busy! I had my exams in April/May, graduated from uni and started a new job (which I love)!

So I have finally got back into a routine which means I am going to try my hardest to post as much as I can! I have been extremely interested in fitness and nutrition lately so expect lots of posts on exercise and nutritional tips!

Also, I think Autumn may come early....which is amazing news for me as Autumn is my favourite season! So hopefully I'll get the chance to post fall recipes and mush more!

Have a lovely Tuesday!

xoxo
