Hair Care Favourites

Happy Sunday Y'all!

How was your weekend? My weekend was very random but good! On Friday, a couple of the girls decided to stay in with a Chinese which resulted in us going out at the last minute! Nothing like a large glass of vino putting you in the mood for a wee dance - I love random nights like that : )

My besto and I... : )

We clearly all hate a white dress ; )

I mentioned in maybe two blogs posts ago that this is the year I really take the time to get into my blogging as I absolutely love it! I love having a wee nosey at other peoples blogs too. So today I am gonna talk about my hurrr. A girl isn't complete for a night out with some polished/not so polished aka mega back-combed (big hair don't care!) hair! I have some go-to products that I use in my daily routine and on nights out.

Noomero uno has to be Lee Stafford's Poker Straight Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist. This stuff is honestly the bomb.com! I have been using this product since I was about 14/15. The product has green tea in it (green tea is an antioxidant) which helps protect the hair from environmental and heat damage, reducing free radical formation caused by UV and heat styling. It also smells absolutely devine!

I use this product whenever I straighten my hair (obvz) by spritzing once or twice onto my brush, running the brush through my hair before I go through each section with my GHD's. This results in my hair being protected from the issues mentioned above and leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth.

The next product that has stolen my heart is the CHI (Cationic Hydration Interlink) Silk Infusion. This product is honestly worth its weight in. CHI Silk Infusion is an alcohol free (and wont leave any build-up in the hair) treatment which reconstructs and protects all hair types. It helps shield the hair from environmental damage and interlocks moisture and strength into the inner structure of the hair to improve manageability and shine whilst positively charged silk molecules restores resilience in the hair.

I use this product when I have just washed my hair. I apply it to my damp hair and work it through from the ends up to about the bottom of my ear. I rarely dry my hair using a hair dryer. I towel dry my hair and sleep with it damp. I find that by towel drying my hair and leaving it to dry naturally it keeps my hair from drying out. I also use this product on dry hair after I have just straightened it as it promotes softness, shine and smoothness.

Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave in Conditioner has been a favourite of mine ever since I was in School. The product is enriched with jojoba seed oil (this s**t smells amazing) which strengthens and protects the hair weakened by everyday life. It also acts as a great detangler.

I spray this product through towel dried hair then again I just go to bed with my hair wet (I tend to only wash my hair at night).

And finally, my most favouritest loveliest hairspray in the whole entire wold! This can is like my best pal. VO5 Ulitimate Hold Weather Resistant Hair Spray is honestly a life saver! It has 5 vital benefits which are as follows:

*All day hold that brushes out easily, leaving hair soft to touch (who likes crispy hair anyways!)*
*Weather protection provides a shield against humidity for 24 hours, preventing frizz*
*Ultra-fine fat-drying spray, with no sticky residue*
*Healthy shine*
*UV filter to help protect against environmental damage*

I use this hairspray whenever I am doing a style that I need to keep in place. I usually opt for a beehive and this hairspray does the job perfectly! I also use this product to keep my side fringe (which has grown out and looks a bit mental now) to keep in place as it tends to split down the middle as I have weird "cow's licks" all over my head!

There you have it, my cheeky wee hair faves! Let me know if you use any of these products and love them as much as I do, or if you are thinking about purchasing the products mentioned or even just your own personal hair faves. I love talking to you guys and sharing little tips and advice!

xoxo

*** Please note, I have very thick hair and this is my own personal hair care routine. I find that this is the routine that works best for me and may not work best for other people. You have to use products suited to your hair type. I can use all of these products together as my hair doesn't get greasy very easily : ) ***

Happy New Year Beauties!

I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve!

I am a terrible, terrible person, yes I know. I have neglected my poor wee blog since October! Shame on me! But I am back!

One of my resolutions is to devote more time to my blog, which I’m going to try really hard to do in 2014! I pinched this snazzy little NYE resolutions list from the beautiful Lauren Conrad’s blog….
A bad habit I’m going to break:
Worrying, I worry far too much! I’m aiming to take a leaf out of Zoella’s book and say yes to everything this year. In the past I’ve sometimes pulled out of going to parties etc because worrying has gotten the best of me, but not anymore!
A destination I’d like to visit:
The Fairy Pools of Skye…<3
I’m going to work harder at:
Running and getting toned!
A project I’d like to finish:
This isn’t really a project, but I want to save for a mortgage this year! I’ve already worked out a little savings plan that I am definitely going to stick too!

A class I’d like to take:
Make Up Artistry :)

I’d like to spend more time doing:
Everything and anything! Like I said before, if anyone asks me to do something (exercising with them, going out, going to a concert, hill walking yada yada) I have to say yes! And I will constantly remind myself of this resolution until it sinks in! I need to live in the moment and not worry about the future; life is short so I want to make the most of it so I can look back with no regrets.

A food I want to eat more of:
I’m a good eater already, I eat loads of everything, which is the problem. I would like to eat LESS of takeaways! I loooove Indian food, so I think it may be quite hard to limit my intake, but I’m definitely going to try to cut down on McDonalds and other types of fast foods.

I want to wear more:
Smiles….cute eh?

Feel free to nab this resolutions list, I think it’s a fab idea! Let me know if you guys have similar resolutions to me or completely different!

xoxo

Ps. Blogger isn't letting me upload pictures :( Will upload some NYE shots as soon as I can!

Trick or Treat!

 Good morning my little pumpkins!

I thought it would be fun to do a little Halloween themed post seeing as I am abso obsessed with Halloween! I can't wait for my trick or treaters to come round! My friend might be having a small Halloween gathering at her house the weekend of Halloween so hopefully I'll get to dress up, don't know whether to do my make up like really really scary or just go as a cat? I swear there is nothing cuter than a wee black nose and a couple of whiskers drawn on with your favourite eyeliner! What are you guys planning on going as?

So back to the post! I nabbed all these pics of my beloved Pinterest...I love Pinterest. I always look to it for ideas, beauty-related, DIY or for the home!

To start off lets talk PUMPKINS! I loooove pumpkins, I previously made pumpkin pie which turned out delilsh! Recipe post to hopefully follow ;) I do like carving pumpkins but it gets so messy and I'm super clumsy so I know if I don't have adult supervision I'll end up cutting my thumb off... :/ So, alternatively I thought about other ways to jazz up your Jack O' Lantern this hallows eve, see below.

How gorgeous is this lace pumpkin?? All you do is buy a pair of pretty lace tights, slip your pumpkin into one leg then just cut to size! Simple, yet effective : )

This pumpkin is so unbelievably pretty! This would look gorgeous sitting next to the lace one above. From the looks of it, this requires a bit more handiwork... The pumpkin looks like it may be covered in silk cloth and possibly glued together underneath. Find a really pretty metallic paint to paint the stalk (is that what you call it?) and add some lush jewels to give it that WOW effect. And hey presto, a pumpkin fit for the Queen.

I love the pumpkin at the front but I'm not so sure about the one at the back because you cant really tell that its a pumpkin :( The pumpkin at the front looks like it has been placed in the centre off some see through meshy material and then gathered at the top with pretty ribbons.

Now these two little pumpky-wumpy-umpkins are just the cutest little things I have ever seen! In terms of how to do it, the picture is pretty self-explanatory. SO CUTE!!!!

Now for the goodies for your little trick or treaters!

These fruit cups are fab for the people who don't want to just through sweets and crisps at kids when they come to your door. Use a sharpie to draw the Jack O' Lanterns face : )

These Jack Skeleton cupcakes are so adorable. To cheat, just get a box of chocolate muffins and spread over some luscious thick white chocolate and decorate with black icing...simples!

Right, I am deffinitley doing this! So easy to do! Just get some white tape and wrap around the juice box and add googly eyes. Mummies will love this, get it?! Ha Ha!

I have to tell you guys something, its a secret so shhhh.....I freakin' LOVE owls! I think they're are the cutest fluffiest little things! This picture had to sneak its way into the post purely out of the cuteness factor!

This 'hand-bag', get it?! Oh my, I am on a roll today! Yeah, so anyways, this handbag for trick or treaters is such a good idea! Just grab some disposable clear gloves and stuff with lots of treats! If you can find any spooky rings, slide them on the fingers once the hand is full for that extra spook-factor!

I need this sign in my life...it's amazing! I love the little quote that's on it...

"When witches go riding and black cats are seen...tis 29 days until Halloween!"

Hope you guys liked this post! What are you doing for Halloween? Parties, trick or treating, bobbing for apples....let me know in the comments below!

xoxo
