We've Moved!

Hello, hello hello!!

It's been so long my lovelies. My apologies for being MIA lately, I do however have a fairly reasonable excuse…we bought a house!!

So since my last post (oh my god, last year?!) some pretty big things happened…

First of all, my boyfriend of nearly (at the time) 6 years proposed to me the night before my birthday. Words cannot describe how truly delighted I was. I knew after a few months of being with Guy that he would be the man I marry and now that he’s proposed I could not be happier! He really is my best friend.

However, we both agreed the wedding planning would be put on hold as we were currently renting and really wanted to buy. Buying a property has been on our minds for quite some time now so a couple of days after we got engaged we began looking.

At the time, we were told that it was a ‘buyer’s market’ which meant that buyer’s were getting great deals as property prices were slightly lower than usual. So it was fairly easy to find properties online that we liked at affordable prices. I’m not going to lie to you though, the months we spent trying to find our ideal home were an absolute nightmare! We lost a few houses to other people putting an offer in before us, which was extremely disheartening. 

The day finally came, mid-October, where we viewed a house that we fell in love with! A three bedroom detached in a family friendly estate that we initially thought was too good to be true. But after reviewing the Home Report we decided to put an offer in and were moved in by the 20^th of December. 

 

Please note, do not move 5 days before Christmas, seriously! Stressed doesn’t even cover it!

  

Our Christmas tree, Lilly had no problem settling in once this bad boy was up!

We are now settled into our sweet little house and couldn’t be happier. Lilly seems to be very at home here too :-)

So that’s the main reason I haven’t posted in a while. I adore blogging and really want to get into a habit of it in 2015!

Favourite Beauty Product

Benefit''s They're Real Mascara

One word to describe this product? AMAZING! Honestly, this is a product I can safely say does what it says on the tin. A combination of the wand and the formula really lengthen and thicken my lashes. I usually use at least two different types of mascara on my lashes as I feel that it helps achieve optimum results. But with this product, I feel that I don't need to use any other products on my lashes to thicken and lengthen as it does both without clumping. 

Favourite Hair Product

L'OREAL Silver Shampoo

This has probably been a favourite of mine for a couple of years now. I tend to use it whenever I feel my hair is starting to get a brassy tinge to it. It is a deep purple colour and has a thick consistency to it. I always see results after I use it so you need to be really careful you don't leave it on for too long as it will make your hair a pale purple shade, but if you like that go for it! I was rocking the grey/purple look last summer and I loved it!

I get this product online for about £7 depending on what site I use.

Favourite Smell

Jo Malone - Pomegranate Noir

Guy got me this perfume last year for my birthday and since then I had only worn it on special occasions. But recently I have been wearing it alot more. I am so in love with the smell. Its so fresh but a little spicy and makes the perfect spring time scent.

Favourite Food

Homemade burger, chips and pakora

Guy whipped this up on a Sunday night and it was ah-mazing! I have to admit that the pakora was the best ive ever had. I don't feel as guilty when I eat fatty foods like this which are homemade as I know exactly what's went in to it!

I'm not gonna lie, Paramore's new album is general is frickin' awesome, but their song last hope is one of the best. I love Hayley's voice,  she's so talented.

Eeee! I just downloaded this the other day and I forgot how good it was! You know that way something will remind you of something for your childhood? Well I don't know why or how I thought of Pocahontas, but as soon as the film popped into my head I knew I had to download it! It was great having a sing along too ;)

This was the girl that got me absolutely obsessed with YouTube beauty videos! Thanks to Elle, I am addicted to the whole YouTube beauty guru scene. I love watching her videos on beauty, fashion and decor and she is so sweet! I commented on one of her videos the other week and she actually replied to me! Its nice how she tries hard to communicate with all her subscribers and listens to their video requests.

Good morning folks!

The weather is slightly miserable up in Glasgow, but it's a new week and time to set some new goals to accomplish! I always feel brilliant after achieving my goals for the week! Weekend Love...

Good morning dolls!

 

How are we?! Right first of all...I am trying to pick a winner for my giveaway! I'm trying to do it at random but then I feel bad and start again ha ha! A post will be coming soon regarding the winner of my giveaway so stay tuned!! As usual, I am ridiculously busy! I really need to sit down one day and write loads of posts so I have a post to put up everyday, but I am finding it really difficult to get into a routine.

 

This weekend just past was soo good! My boyfriend and I had a lovely relaxing weekend and didn't have anything to go to which was good, as I sometimes dread the weekend if we have to go to lots of things! So here are a few snap shots of what I got up to : )

 

 

We bought a pumpkin at the weekend to make pumpkin pie with and I HAD to get a photo of Lilly with it. She's your typical black cat and she looks absolutely adorable posing with the pumpkin. She is still so tiny, bless her!

 

 

This is a snap of my pumpkin pie! I had never had if before, and Guy said I wouldn't like it...but I LOVE pumpkin spiced lattes etc so I knew I would like it! It was sooooo good! I even made an extra batch of the filling so I could freeze it for when I next make it  : )

 

 

 

On Friday night, Guy made some cocktails. He's very creative in the kitchen and whipped up some strawberry, raspberry and pomegranate fizz's which had gin and soda in it too, yummy! We also watched the latest Batman film (which I wasn't really excited about) and it was amazing!! I was even crying at the end!

On Saturday, we went to this Hawaiian bar in Glasgow which is called Tiki Hut, I think! The drinks were amazing and the interior was out of this world! I actually felt like I was on Holiday! The barman was so friendly and helpful. I was having mocktails cause I was driving and he was more than happy to mix them up for me and even said that if I didn't like it he would alter it! Bless him! (I have no idea why there was a coffin in the tiki hut : / )

 

 

 

 

The actually cocktail glasses were so cool! They really added to the whole 'tiki' experience!

 

 

 

I dug out all my Halloween/scary films that I want to watch leading up to Halloween. There's nothing like Tim Burton to get you in the Halloween spirit! Whats your favourite Halloween/scary movie??

Busy Bee...

Good morning my loves!

As I said last week, I have been such a little busy bee and have not been able to work on my beloved blog! To assure you that I’m not telling porky pies, below are some pics of the past week and a half…

 

I've been trying to wind down before I go to sleep and a candle does just the trick, along with my Bath and Body Works Pillow spray in lavender and vanilla : )

 

 

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was bloomin hilarious! Its what a cat looks like from underneath a glass coffee table!

 

 

I have been experimenting with a lot of make-up looks recently (tutorials to follow) and been loving using the MUA matte palette.

 

 

I used Chanel in 'misty soft' on my eyes here 8-)

 

 

I bought these beautiful flowers out of Morrisons for a couple of quid! They remind me of the flowers in the garden in the film 'Coraline' (one of my faves)!

 

 

I have been eating and drinking so much crap, but its soooooo good! We got a Chinese last week - I got duck pancakes, mini spring rolls and salt & chilli chips. Guy made Blackberry Fizz cocktails to go along with our dinner : ) If you would like the recipe for Blackberry Fizz, let me know in the comments below...

 

 

I have been spending so much on ebay recently...my bad! I got this Abercrombie & Fitch cardy for £12!

 

 

When Guy go his wages, he made us steak for dinner, yum! We had it with a large mushroom cooked in garlic butter, chips and whiskey sauce. We bought a deep fat fryer so we could have chips the naughty way ;)

 

 

When I downloaded ios7 I had to delete all my apps including Snapchat! Once I remembered to re-download it, I had a lot of fun sending my pals crazy snaps!

 

 

I have been absolutely loving the weather. I'm one of those people who love the rain and colder weather. Don't get me wrong, I'm crazy about Summer, but if I had to be a season (sounds weird) I would deffinitley be Autumn : )

 

 

Although we've been having take-aways constantly, I always try and eat healthy in work. This is a pic of my usual daily salad.

Oft, now this was AMAZING! We got this Indian tapas mixture from our regular Indian restaurant because we had never tried it and it was honestly the best take-away I have ever had! Absolutely amazing!

 

 

Lilly is being as crazy as ever, she just loves climbing up my legs...especially when I've only got my jammie shorts on! :(

Chanel mascara freebie that I got with my recent Chanel purchases! It is so amazing I am going to have to buy it in full-size!

Me & my other half attended an engagement party on Saturday. It was loads of fun and was a nice way to relax a bit before my big exam!
