Hair Care Favourites

Happy Sunday Y'all!

How was your weekend? My weekend was very random but good! On Friday, a couple of the girls decided to stay in with a Chinese which resulted in us going out at the last minute! Nothing like a large glass of vino putting you in the mood for a wee dance - I love random nights like that : )

My besto and I... : )

We clearly all hate a white dress ; )

I mentioned in maybe two blogs posts ago that this is the year I really take the time to get into my blogging as I absolutely love it! I love having a wee nosey at other peoples blogs too. So today I am gonna talk about my hurrr. A girl isn't complete for a night out with some polished/not so polished aka mega back-combed (big hair don't care!) hair! I have some go-to products that I use in my daily routine and on nights out.

Noomero uno has to be Lee Stafford's Poker Straight Flat Iron Protection Shine Mist. This stuff is honestly the bomb.com! I have been using this product since I was about 14/15. The product has green tea in it (green tea is an antioxidant) which helps protect the hair from environmental and heat damage, reducing free radical formation caused by UV and heat styling. It also smells absolutely devine!

I use this product whenever I straighten my hair (obvz) by spritzing once or twice onto my brush, running the brush through my hair before I go through each section with my GHD's. This results in my hair being protected from the issues mentioned above and leaves my hair feeling soft and smooth.

The next product that has stolen my heart is the CHI (Cationic Hydration Interlink) Silk Infusion. This product is honestly worth its weight in. CHI Silk Infusion is an alcohol free (and wont leave any build-up in the hair) treatment which reconstructs and protects all hair types. It helps shield the hair from environmental damage and interlocks moisture and strength into the inner structure of the hair to improve manageability and shine whilst positively charged silk molecules restores resilience in the hair.

I use this product when I have just washed my hair. I apply it to my damp hair and work it through from the ends up to about the bottom of my ear. I rarely dry my hair using a hair dryer. I towel dry my hair and sleep with it damp. I find that by towel drying my hair and leaving it to dry naturally it keeps my hair from drying out. I also use this product on dry hair after I have just straightened it as it promotes softness, shine and smoothness.

Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance Leave in Conditioner has been a favourite of mine ever since I was in School. The product is enriched with jojoba seed oil (this s**t smells amazing) which strengthens and protects the hair weakened by everyday life. It also acts as a great detangler.

I spray this product through towel dried hair then again I just go to bed with my hair wet (I tend to only wash my hair at night).

And finally, my most favouritest loveliest hairspray in the whole entire wold! This can is like my best pal. VO5 Ulitimate Hold Weather Resistant Hair Spray is honestly a life saver! It has 5 vital benefits which are as follows:

*All day hold that brushes out easily, leaving hair soft to touch (who likes crispy hair anyways!)*
*Weather protection provides a shield against humidity for 24 hours, preventing frizz*
*Ultra-fine fat-drying spray, with no sticky residue*
*Healthy shine*
*UV filter to help protect against environmental damage*

I use this hairspray whenever I am doing a style that I need to keep in place. I usually opt for a beehive and this hairspray does the job perfectly! I also use this product to keep my side fringe (which has grown out and looks a bit mental now) to keep in place as it tends to split down the middle as I have weird "cow's licks" all over my head!

There you have it, my cheeky wee hair faves! Let me know if you use any of these products and love them as much as I do, or if you are thinking about purchasing the products mentioned or even just your own personal hair faves. I love talking to you guys and sharing little tips and advice!

xoxo

*** Please note, I have very thick hair and this is my own personal hair care routine. I find that this is the routine that works best for me and may not work best for other people. You have to use products suited to your hair type. I can use all of these products together as my hair doesn't get greasy very easily : ) ***

My Go-to Fall Lip Colours

Morning lovelies!

Sorry it’s been a couple of days since my last post, I have been mega busy with work and absolutely shattered by the time I get home! But I promise I will try and keep up-to-date with my posts. I'm thinking about doing lots of posts this weekend so I can upload them on a regular basis, what do you guys think?

Anyways, lets get started! So I always love a nude lip, but for fall I like to go darker. So my ultimate go-to lip products for fall are obviously going to be a nude and some sort of darker colour. My two favourites that I have been sporting lately are MAC’s Pro Longwear Lip Cream in ‘Overtime’ and Collection 2000’s Volume Sensation in ‘Plum Perfection’. Plum Perfection is a beautiful deep berry colour which is ideal for Fall and Overtime is a luscious creamy pale pink.

The swatch on the left is Plum Perfection and the swatch on the right is Overtime. Excuse my lack of tan, I haven’t fake tanned in TWO WEEKS!!

Need to give myself a manicure A-SAP!
Overtime is more of a mattifying lipstick but has a really creamy base so doesn’t dry out my lips.

Plum Perfection is a mattifying lipstick too, the colour lasts ages!

Excuse my hair in both pics, I took these this morning on the way to work ha! What colour do you prefer? Overtime or Plum Perfection? Also, let me know what your favourite fall lippies are in the comments below : )
xoxo

PS. Make sure to follow this blog for your chance to win and urban decay lipstick, babylips and a lip liner!

A Quick Update....

Howdy y'all!!

Sorry i've went a bit AWOL! My work has been crazy lately! I went down to London last week on a training course and went a bit wild in duty free ;) So expect a couple of reviews & a hauls coming your way soon!!

Also my baby bumblebee's battery died yesterday so I've been trying to get hold of a new battery (at a decent price) and have it installed! Considering even getting a new mini to be honest cause the amount of times my little car has been not well is ridiculous!

I have also managed to FINALLY get my locks sorted out! Got a cut and colour (see below) for £40 which is amazing considering how long my hair is!!

I've also been going a bit nutso with buying clothes eBay and primark! Sooo a little clothing haul is in order I think!!

Anywayssss, I PROMISE to get some new posts up throughout this week because this just isn't acceptable ;)

My Love for Makeup...

This sounds a bit weird, but I can honestly say that make-up is like a hobby for me. Ever since I was allowed to start wearing make-up, I have loved to experiment with different colours and looks.

However, I have made some huge make-up no-nos in the past, but I think that you need to make these mistakes in order to teach yourself well.

MAC has always been a favourite of mine, but I love Clinique and other upper-end brands. Don't get me wrong though, I love your everyday makeup brands too! I only use Rimmel or Maybeline foundation because I feel that they are the best for my skin and they don't break the bank.

I've learned that blending is key...and you can never go wrong with a classic cat-eye...

But it's also fun to experiment with more vibrant colours. The blending in the photo below isn't that great but hey, that's all a part of the learning experience!

Whats your favourite make-up look? Natural or Glam? There's so many different looks you can achieve if you have the confidence to experiment.

So, go for it girls!

Meet Lilly...

Hi dolls 😘

Meet Lilly...our little persian cross kitten! This was one of the first pictures we ever took of her. How cute is she?! We got her at the end of May.

I never thought that it would be hard work having a kitten, but boy it is so tricky! She is actually like a small child! She cries if she can't sleep with us and she begs for food like a dog! She is some character!

We're always looking for new treats or new tips on how to care for her, so if you have any lemme' know! 😻

Xoxo

Where have I been?

Good morning Love Bugs! : )

I've not posted anything on here since February due to the fact that I have been mega busy! I had my exams in April/May, graduated from uni and started a new job (which I love)!

So I have finally got back into a routine which means I am going to try my hardest to post as much as I can! I have been extremely interested in fitness and nutrition lately so expect lots of posts on exercise and nutritional tips!

Also, I think Autumn may come early....which is amazing news for me as Autumn is my favourite season! So hopefully I'll get the chance to post fall recipes and mush more!

Have a lovely Tuesday!

PLL - who is the girl in the red coat?

*Potential Spoiler Alert*
If you haven't read the Pretty Little Liars books, then look away now!

If you love Pretty Little Liars then you would have already seen last nights episode. I've read the books so I kind of know what's happening although the tv series does differ in some ways.
According to the books Ally had a twin sister, a trouble making little girl who got sent away to boarding school I think, when she was younger. Don't quote me on that, I'm gonna have to look that up cause it was yonks ago that I read the books. However the siblings end up getting switched and its really the evil twin acting as Ally while the good twin is away. So I'm guessing the series is gonna play out along those lines where one twin is still alive. From what I can remember, the night of Ally's murder, the twins switched places again, and it is actually the good twin that gets murdered....I think this is such an exciting story line and I really hope the series sticks to it!

What are your PLL theories? Let me know guys :)

xoxo
