Busy Bee...

Good morning my loves!
As I said last week, I have been such a little busy bee and have not been able to work on my beloved blog! To assure you that I’m not telling porky pies, below are some pics of the past week and a half…

I've been trying to wind down before I go to sleep and a candle does just the trick, along with my Bath and Body Works Pillow spray in lavender and vanilla : )

I saw this on Facebook and thought it was bloomin hilarious! Its what a cat looks like from underneath a glass coffee table!

I have been experimenting with a lot of make-up looks recently (tutorials to follow) and been loving using the MUA matte palette.

I used Chanel in 'misty soft' on my eyes here 8-)

I bought these beautiful flowers out of Morrisons for a couple of quid! They remind me of the flowers in the garden in the film 'Coraline' (one of my faves)!

I have been eating and drinking so much crap, but its soooooo good! We got a Chinese last week - I got duck pancakes, mini spring rolls and salt & chilli chips. Guy made Blackberry Fizz cocktails to go along with our dinner : ) If you would like the recipe for Blackberry Fizz, let me know in the comments below...

I have been spending so much on ebay recently...my bad! I got this Abercrombie & Fitch cardy for £12!

When Guy go his wages, he made us steak for dinner, yum! We had it with a large mushroom cooked in garlic butter, chips and whiskey sauce. We bought a deep fat fryer so we could have chips the naughty way ;)

When I downloaded ios7 I had to delete all my apps including Snapchat! Once I remembered to re-download it, I had a lot of fun sending my pals crazy snaps!

I have been absolutely loving the weather. I'm one of those people who love the rain and colder weather. Don't get me wrong, I'm crazy about Summer, but if I had to be a season (sounds weird) I would deffinitley be Autumn : )

Although we've been having take-aways constantly, I always try and eat healthy in work. This is a pic of my usual daily salad.

Love a bit of vino so I do ;)

SELFIE!

Oft, now this was AMAZING! We got this Indian tapas mixture from our regular Indian restaurant because we had never tried it and it was honestly the best take-away I have ever had! Absolutely amazing!

Lilly is being as crazy as ever, she just loves climbing up my legs...especially when I've only got my jammie shorts on! :(

More work lunch pics : )

Chanel mascara freebie that I got with my recent Chanel purchases! It is so amazing I am going to have to buy it in full-size!

The flight down to London for my exam was lovely :)

But I missed this gorgeous girl though!

Me & my other half attended an engagement party on Saturday. It was loads of fun and was a nice way to relax a bit before my big exam!

What have you guys been up to?? Let me know in the comments below.

xoxo

Ps. I have finally reached 50 followers!!! Now I just need to pic a winner and post their goodies!

Chanel Cream Blush Review!!

Hello there my beautiful girls!

How are we all? It sure is safe to say that Autumn is officially here! Its getting a bit chillier, the leaves are falling and my vanilla latte sitting to my right is steaming away…
I want to start of by apologising for my lacks of posts lately. I have an exam on Monday that I need to sit for my work that I’ve been studying for and I have had the flu!! Last weekend was September weekend, so it was my first long weekend in agesss, and I woke up on Saturday morning congested and extremely ill! Rage! I am now on the road to recovery though, thank goodness!
Even though I was terribly ill on Monday, my friend and I went shopping – my wages were burning a hole in my pocket! I got a few bits and bobs and will do a proper haul post soon, but for now, I would like to do a review on one particular item that I am really excited about.
A while ago, I wrote a post on my Autumn wish list and mentioned Chanel’s Autumn Collection. On Monday I ended up getting two products from Chanel, a nail polish (which I will do a mini review on soon) and Le Blush Crème De Chanel in ‘Revelation’, which funnily enough I said I probably wouldn’t purchase in my wish list post as I thought it was too red for me. What an idiot to think  it only came in one colour! Ha ha!

The photo doesn't do the colour justice! Its a gorgeous rosy pale-ish pink in real life. Its absolutely gorgeous and compliments my skin tone really well.

The texture is so beautifully creamy but feels like a powder when applying. I prefer to use my fingers as I feel I have more control over the amount I am applying.

As always, Chanel packaging is absolutely beautiful.

On my skin the blush looks very natural and looks more like an autumn flush than actual makeup, which I love about it! Ps. I have a huuge spot on my chin and a bit of mascara on my nose, annnddd my hair looks green cause I was in the office when this photo was taken! LOL!

So yeah, girls if you're near a Chanel counter, seriously get this blush! It will be the best purchase you will make this season and you will honestly fall in love!

If you have any makeup products that you're loving this season, let me know in the comments below!

xoxo

PS. Only TWO followers until I can pick a winner for my giveaway!! EEEEEE excited!!!!

What's in my Bag!

Hello my wee dolls!

How are we all? I love watching what's in my bag youtube videos so thought it would be a good idea to do for a blog post! So here we go....

This is my bag I use everyday. It's a Ted Baker tote I got for my birthday and I am so in love with it! It has one main compartment and a smaller compartment on the inside wall of the bag. It holds so much stuff but I try to keep what I carry around with me to a minimum as it gets beyond a joke at the amount of rubbish that I accumulate in my bag given the chance!

Now this is just an overview of everything that is currently in my bag. Starting at the top left I have: a book by Neal Shusterman called 'Unwind'; my Filofax; a recent CIBSE Engineering journal; a bottle of water; my makeup bag; hair ties; a back combing brush; my business cards; my Radley purse; Soap & Glory hand food; B&BW pumpkin cupcake hand sanitiser; paracetamol; a hair grip; lip products; Chanel nail varnish; a hair band and Next perfume.

Here's a close up of the lip products etc in my bag: we have a Nivea Lip butter in raspberry rose, Model Co lipgloss in berry pink, Rimmel lipstick in 117 Glam, Clinique lipstick in rosette, Babylips in pink punch, MAC lipstick in overtime, Collection 2000 lipstick in plum perfection and Chanel's nail colour in 543 Frisson.

Another little close up : )

Now for a little look inside my makeup bag! This is the make-up bag I keep in my bag at all times as I use most of the products on a day to day basis. The make up bag is by MAC and was from their 2011/12 holiday collection. Below the makeup bag we have: NARS eyeshadow duo in hula hula; Chanel eyeshadow duo in misty soft; Rimmel lip liner in wine; Rimmel lip liner in east end snob; MAC lip liner in boldly bare; MACs prep & prime in radiant rose; Garneier's concealer; Collection 2000's big fake ultimate mascara in ultra black; Rimmel liquid liner in 100% black; Benefit's speed brow; Clinique's bottom lash mascara; Clinique compact blush brush; Benefit's girl meets pearl; Palmer's cocoa butter lip balm; MAC eyeshadow in cork (I use it for my brows when I'm not using my Naked palette; a hair band and a mac powder sponge/puff thingy!

Here's a close up of the eyeshadow duos. The NARS duo consists of a pale rosey pink and a lovely gold, both loaded with shimmer! And the Chanel is my go to colours for fall as mentioned in my autumn day post.

I thought it would be fun to tag some of my favourite bloggers to do this post too! The lovely girlies I tag to do the 'Whats in my bag' post are as follows:

Autumn Wish List

Afternoon Love Bugs!

So I’ve noticed a couple of bloggers do wish lists so I thought it would be a fun idea for a post! Below is a list of lots of different things I would like to purchase on payday including makeup, clothes, candles and more!

#1 – Chanel’s Autumn Collection
I want every single thing in Chanel’s Autumn collection! The colours are absolutely beautiful! The only thing I am not 100% sure on is the blush…it’s a bit too reddish for me. I usually wear more pastel colours on my cheeks, but would love to give it a try!

#2 – Boots

Oh my goodness! These little booties from New Look are the cutest boots I’ve ever seen! I must have them! I need a new pair of boots as my uggs are a bit too cozy for this time of year. I prefer to wear my uggs more in the winter.

#3 – Marshmallow Fireside by Bath & Body Works

Absolutely adore this scent. I got it last year and used it pretty quickly because I was burning it non-stop! As I don’t live in America, hopefully I’ll be able to purchase this candle of either eBay or thebathandbodyshop.com.

#4 – MAC’s lightful cleanser

This product looks and sounds amazing! Will take a break from my usual Clinique skin care regime just to try this product out!

What’s your wish list dolls? Let me know in the comments below : )

An Autumn Day...

I always like to change my makeup look, especially when the seasons change. I prefer light colours in the summer and darker colours in the winter for a more dramatic look. Although in the photo below I don't actually have a dark lip, I would like to start sporting one for the fall ;)

My go to products are as follows:
Urban Decay's Naked Palette - I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this palette. I honestly use it everyday. I like to use the shade 'buck' to fill in my brows, and 'virgin' as a highlighter.

This foundation is brilliant for my skin. I tend to have a slightly paler complexion in the winter time so I like to stick to light shades like 'Ivory'.

I love Clinique lipsticks. I actually got the one I use frequently as a freebie because I bought 2 products. I love the colour 'Rosette', and it looks that extra bit gorgeous with a slick of Model Co lipgloss in 'Berry Pink' on top!

I have only recently stopped using this product as my eyeliner. I have used it in the photo at the beginning of this post, but I now find that I prefer to use the dark colours from my urban decay palette as eyeliner for my top eyelids because I find it better to apply.

This mascara doesn't need justification. Its brilliant. Get it.

I got this Chanel duo for my birthday and adore the colours. The duo is in 'misty soft' and is a lovely combination of a lilac shade and a plum colour...beautiful! I use the lighter lilac shade on my lid and the plum shade in the crease of my eyelid and blend together.

What is your go to makeup look for the fall? Let me know in the comments below : )

My Love for Makeup...

This sounds a bit weird, but I can honestly say that make-up is like a hobby for me. Ever since I was allowed to start wearing make-up, I have loved to experiment with different colours and looks.

However, I have made some huge make-up no-nos in the past, but I think that you need to make these mistakes in order to teach yourself well.

MAC has always been a favourite of mine, but I love Clinique and other upper-end brands. Don't get me wrong though, I love your everyday makeup brands too! I only use Rimmel or Maybeline foundation because I feel that they are the best for my skin and they don't break the bank.

I've learned that blending is key...and you can never go wrong with a classic cat-eye...

But it's also fun to experiment with more vibrant colours. The blending in the photo below isn't that great but hey, that's all a part of the learning experience!

Whats your favourite make-up look? Natural or Glam? There's so many different looks you can achieve if you have the confidence to experiment.

So, go for it girls!

Birthday Haul...

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am going to talk about the amazing things I got for my birthday and a mini review on each. I was absolutely spoiled and appreciate every single thing I received - my family & boyfriend are so generous!

So here goes....

This was the lovely site I woke up to in the morning (excluding the wrapping paper), everything was from Guy. I had wanted the Pomegranate Noir perfume by Jo Malone for ages, so I was over the moon to get it! It smells wonderful! Its not something I would usually go for, as I feel that it is a little mature for me, but I think its such a classic scent.

He got me a cheeky little voucher for House of Fraser, so I could later purchase whatever MAC products my heart desired ;)

Guy also got me a couple of goodies from Lush. I have wanted 'its raining men' for ages because I LOVE the smell of honey!! You can also use it for your hair which makes my hair smell heavenly.

The second product Guy got me from Lush was the 'Whoosh' Shower Jelly. I haven't actually used this yet, but it smells so zingy! I can imagine it will work wonders in the morning to help wake me up!

So after we got up, had breakfast and got ready, as mentioned in my previous 'Birthday Lunch' post, we headed into Glasgow. We went to House of Fraser first (obv!) and I used my voucher to buy a new Ted Baker tote and MAC prep & prime in radiant rose. I have needed a new bag for work for quite a while so was very pleased to come across this little beauty!

After watching numerous beauty gurus on YouTube recommend this product, I had to have it! I have quite a pale complexion so the rose tint to this primer really compliments my skin. I use it under my eyes, brow bone and cupids bow to add just the right amount of highlight.

Guy's mum gave me some vouchers too, I haven't had a chance to use them all yet, but I managed to pick up a couple of things from Boots the other night after work. I had heard amazing things about the new Maybeline Baby Lips, and I can honestly say they are all true! Not only do these wee wonders smell sooo yummy, they really moisturise my lips and the pink one is very pigmented! The one on the right (Peach Kiss) is more of a clear lip balm. I only took a swatch of the Pink Punch as it is lovely bright hot pink colour and is more obvious than the Peach Kiss.

I also got the 'Soaper Heroes' gift set by Soap & Glory. I really wanted the hand food hand cream, but all the other products are fab. Especially the moisturising body mist. I already have the clean on me shower gel and the body butter, but I am excited to try the exfoliator!

Guys elder sister came round later on and brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a gorgeous eye-shadow duo by Chanel. The duo is in No. 40 Misty - Soft. As you can see from the swatches below, one is a gorgeous shimmery violet colour and the other is a deep matte plum.

Wee birthday selfie :p

I had the best day ever and was truly spoiled. Now, seeing as my birthday is out the way, I can properly start looking forward to Halloween and Christmas!

xoxo
